Fox’s new Gordon Ramsay-fronted cooking competition MasterChef drew younger viewers, more than America’s Got Talent, but the weak new NBC series Breakthrough with Tony Robbins failed to draw any viewers. MasterChef had 5.75 million viewers overall, and thus was beaten by Wipeout, America’s Got Talent, and NCIS: Los Angeles, but among viewers 18 to 49, it placed first at 9 p.m

+ The Hills almost had a different ending By admin 28 July 2010 at 2:50 pm and have No Comments

A report says that The Hills’ final scene, which acknowledged the show’s scripted nature, was one of two options, and each of the show’s two executive producers wanted to end the show on an entirely different note. The other ending would have had Brody Jenner and Lauren Conrad in a relationship. + Big Brother 12 will conclude after Survivor Nicaragua debuts By admin 26 July 2010 at 4:15 pm and have No Comments

Usually, Big Brother concludes before Survivor returns, but not this year: Survivor Nicaragua debuts Sept. 15 at 8, in its new Wednesday timeslot, and that will be followed by a two-hour Big Brother 12 finale. + Incest storyline wakes up sleepy Big Brother By admin 26 July 2010 at 12:09 pm and have No Comments

Big Brother 12′s self-proclaimed “diabolical super-genius,” Matt Hoffman, won Head of Household but didn’t manage to do anything diabolical or genius, as his only game was nominating Andrew and Kathy. Perhaps there’s a potential back-door here, or perhaps his statement that “right now, I’m just sitting pretty.” He went for the safe choices, leaving the status quo in the house–which maybe is the smartest thing to do, but it’s still boring.

+ Matt’s melorheostosis lie upsets advocates, CBS okay airing things "we do not condone" By admin 23 July 2010 at 5:33 pm and have No Comments

On Big Brother this week, we saw houseguest Matt Hoffman gleefully discuss his strategy: pretending his wife has melorheostosis, which “is a rare and progressive disorder characterized by hyperostosis (thickening) of the cortical bone” that “can result in severe functional limitation, extensive pain, soft tissue contractures, and limb, hand an/or foot deformity,” according to the Melorheostosis Association. Unsurprisingly, the group isn’t thrilled and wants to meet with CBS executives.
