American Idol 9 dropped four more semi-finalists last night, and coincidentally–or not–all of the contestants who went home were people of color: Michelle Delamor, John Park, Jermaine Sellers, and Haeley Vaughn. On the one hand, with Alex Lambert and Tim Urban and Didi Benami and others still around, it’s kind of suspicious that voters got rid of these particular four semi-finalists all at the same time (three are black, one is Asian)
