TV News: Network says cabler’s proposal for stations alone is ‘not acceptable’ — With the start of the World Series hours away, Cablevision made a move to end the standoff with Fox by offering to pay the fee it has sought for its Gotham stations for one year. Fox, however, said the offer was “not acceptable” and amounted to Cablevision trying to get a “discounted ‘package rate’ without buying the entire package.”
